Century No. 3 Studio
Early 1900’s Folmer & Schwing and Kodak Eastman Century Grand Studio No. 3 camera, paired with an unidentified 8x10 low serial rectilinear brass lens, and a venetian blind-like dark slide back. Camera serial 64884, lens 2957. Only sold for a couple of years, 1900-1907. Bellows in good condition, lens mounted to a wood 9x9 lens plate. Very aesthetically pleasing wooden detail focus adjustment dial. Will need some easy fixes to make light tight and will need a ground glass back for focusing, but this diamond in the rough radiates as a discussion piece and should make some interesting images. -

Rare 19th century Bon Ton Ferrotype 4 Tube Carte de Visite Camera
Four lens tubes, presumably french Darlot, on a mahogany camera frame with black bellows, and a 5"x7" glass plate back. Used for creating for multiplying, or creating variations of the same scene on a single photographic plate. Lenses are attached to camera frame, and not on a removable lens board, as is more common. Potentially AOC of Scovill Mfg. Co., though no identifiable markings except a "3" stamped repeatedly on wood, and a "5" on one lens tube. -
-
5"x7" glass backing is intact, and exhibits a wonderful and sought after chemical stained patina due to the wet collodion early photographic process. Seen here rotated 90 degrees to landscape format. Presence of holding pins points to 1880 (or so) onwards, as opposed to the earlier hinged, side-swinging format. -

Left arm reattached, otherwise intact. The pierced septum retains its ornament nosing which is rare, most likely a gold and copper alloy. Perforations runs along the upper edge of the head, with additional holes at the ears and across the torso, likely intended for the attachment of ornaments or perishable adornments - feathers are often suggested.
